President Joe Benzie opened the meeting welcoming all
members to the Knockout competition and open show
De-brief , As W.Stephen was not at this meeting Secretary /Treasurer J.Gove
gave a run down of the approximate income and expenditure. It was
noted that the rosettes were the largest expenditure. G.Jenkins
Proposal was to discus Catalogue presentation EG:- after
ten birds entered the rest free, raise cage entry 30p .
It was also noted that the raffle prizes were few with only
five bottles and one bag of seed being donated
Again discussion with members on this ( Do we buy more
items like TV, MP3 Player etc)
all members discussion to be 28 days prior to the
Forthcoming AGM as per the rules and regulations.
E.Smith will collect the sponsors monies from Sizzlers
£140.00 and as our buffet dance has been brought forward Eric will collect the
meat pack etc, This will be given to the winner of the raffle ticket won at the
dance.

G.Leslie donated 3 framed Pictures for the show.
J.Gove has donated Trophy’s Novice A/A . Junior A/A. &

for his contribution as auditor for many years

Knockout competition judged by all ten members on points
system that produced 1st and 4th places to D.Scott

The Doncaster trip seems to be well in hand and running
smoothly at this time.

President Joe Benzie opened the meeting welcoming all
members while Judging began with A.Robertson Moulted & D.Scott Barhead. Club
Business. Margaret Yeats S.B.S. Secretary wrote letters which were read out to
the membership on Whether the specialist Rare bird show held in may should be
run by the S.B.S later in the year or Kingdom of fife to run the show as normal
.
Proposal by G.Jenkins .seconded by D.Scott. the membership
agreed . A.B.S club would convey by letter to the SBS secretary that the status
quo K.O.F.B.S would have our vote. Second matter on the agenda was as Elgin BS
changed dates from 10 July to 3rd July this was to be our Aviary
visit to B.Mclean & T.Graham.
It was proposed that ABS Secretary would contact the
breeders involved and give them the choice whether to have the visit a week
early , if this wasn’t acceptable we would cancel the visit for this year.
Lastly P.Thompson will be congratulated for his effort in
being joint beginner breeder for Scotland .
A card will be sent as proposed by M.Main.
Apoliges were given to the junior Rachael Ross as there was
no trophy this will be rectified.
A talk by Jim Shepard on Colour genetics was conducted
after club business was completed

Birds were entered.
Money collected for Doncaster £72.00 Bird entry = £8.00
Membership news is that G.Mutch will be coming back into
the hobby this year.
No new members joined .
Aviary Visit:- Bob Mclean and Tom Graham have
accepted to have the aviary visit on the 26th of June one week
earlier than planned (as per the syllabus) Names should be taken as to whether
we hire a bus or give petrol money for cars.

members while Mike Main judged the Barhead show
A talk by Peter Low on genetics and other topics such as
feeding. The talk was brought to a close by a question and answer session.

Thanks were given to Mike Main for judging.
Trophies were bought for 8/5/05 yougbird and barhead show
at a cost of £46.00.

Aviary visit:- Jim confirmed that T.Deacon had
phoned was giving up the hobby .

President Joe Benzie opened and welcomed all members to the
February meeting.
Last Months minuets were read and accepted by all members
present.
Secretary / Treasurer read out the agenda of the
forthcoming Scottish B.S AGM meeting 6th March 2005
G.Jenkins informed the membership that there was a change
to the Scottish events list for 2005. Elgin BS has changed date from 10th
July to the 3rd July George also paid the Aberdeen Budgerigar Society
Fees for 2005 to the Scottish the fee £46.00 included the magazine adverts.
A Discussion on the Doncaster trip had taken place by the
committee it was decided that A.Robertson would be in charge of receiving names
and monies for this trip he told members that 20 had confirmed seats, £245.00
was taken and recorded the monies was given to the treasurer and a receipt was
given to A.Robertson
Grant Leslie club publicity officer has marketed the ABS by
getting the Ellon and Buchan advertiser newspapers to give a write up of the
Society and it’s functions.
Honorariums were paid for 2004 £50.00 President, £100.00
Show secretary and assistant.

President Joe Benzie opened the meeting welcoming all
members and to wish them a prosperous 2005.
A Discussion on the Doncaster trip had taken place by the
committee it was decided that whytes would be asked for a price for the round
trip including accommodation per person. Joe spoke to whytes he received a
letter. This confirmed £131.00 per person minimum of 25 seats to cover ABS
Financially with the deadline of 16/06/05 for deposits of £25.00 not
refundable. Also the committee will contact J.Bowie & D.Hardie with Tayside
members also to be informed of seats.
Jim Gove conveyed to members all letters to judges had been
sent out some had replied E.Knight, J.Shepherd.
Peter Low, had all accepted their invitations to judge or
give a talk.
Aviary visit:- Jim confirmed that T.Deacon &
T.Graham Have accepted the aviary Visit. R.W.Mclean has still to accept
Grant Leslie has agreed to be the society’s publicity
officer this will include a monthly members profile
Distributed to each paid up member.
Membership Fee’s were paid by four members making 13 at
this time.
Finally we started the quiz compiled by George Jenkins.

AGM Meeting

D.Scott Temporary President opened the meting welcoming all
members for attending the AGM as Joe Benzie had stepped down. As elected
president. As we have a lot of business to get through we moved on.
The balance sheet was Audited by Alec Robertson with Peter
Cowie the accounts were accepted and signed off.
The acceptance of the balance sheet was proposed by Alec
Robertson & seconded by Jim Gove.
The SBS convention is on again this year and needs all
clubs to attend.
Jim Gove discussed and reported on the Buffet Dance held in
the Square Lounge RUA club.
Monies taken on the night £216 . Special Thanks to our
resident DJ Davie Scott who was a revelation.
All who attended gave rave revues and thought it was a good
night.
A discussion took place on next years dance it was decided
to change the date to 28/10/05 This has been approved by the RUA Club.
