Hobby.?
The partnership Started breeding budgerigars
in 2001 when we decided that a hobby was needed for the family
Q. How many birds do you Keep and breed
per year.?
Birds kept are 150 with
breeding cages numbering 18 we try and breed most of
rare varieties.
Q. How big
is your Aviary & what seed do you use .?
Our aviary is expanding with a
new building 22 X 9 feet with breeding boxes numbering 30 that
will take us to 48 breeders. Large inside aviary is in
use. Bucktons is our seed supplier Champion blend, society
blend and tonic seed.
Q. What extras do
you feed your birds chicks.?
Chickweed, fennel, Lettuce,
carrots, and seeding grasses the softfood is made from the
above. Iodine blocks, cuttlefish bone, grit are all
supplied to the birds,
Q. Do you
normally sell birds and what's the best tip you have been
given ? Birds are
sold yearly our contact no is 0779 479984 price's are
£10 to £15 per bird, The best tip we have had is you only
get out of your birds what you put into
them. We are a husband and wife partnership
who really enjoy the hobby and challenges it brings. our
main aim is to improve our stock season by season having
moderate success on the showbench for the last two seasons and
hope to carry this on in the future.
